WHAT IS A MEGABYTE?

WHAT IS A MEGABYTE?
This is a question that has been on everyone’s lips. A quick look in the dictionary will give you a definition that only Bill Gates can understand. We have all seen the adverts $1 for 10 megabytes. What exactly are you paying for?

OUR EXPLANATION

Let us use our imagination for a second. Let’s picture a megabyte as a litre of “Mazoe”. A dollar gets you 10 litres. Therefore if you’re using Facebook for instance, it is like pouring and drinking a medium glassful of “Mazoe” every hour or so. Sending an email is similar to sipping from the 10 litre container and downloading a song is more like gulping down 5 litres in one go.
CONCLUSION
So in this case a megabyte is a measure of how much of Econet’s “Mazoe” you are allowed to drink at a time. Therefore to answer the question, a megabyte is a measure of how much bandwidth (Econets Mazoe) you get per dollar.
**Please Note: Bandwidth will be explained later in the series**
